Dr. Sven Sandeen is a cosmetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgeon. He attended the University of Arizona, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in biology and a split minor in chemistry, physics, and math. He also obtained an additional minor in Spanish. Dr. Sandeen lived abroad in Spain during his senior year and was also accepted into Phi Beta Kappa. He then went on to attend the University of Arizona College of Medicine where he graduated in the top 5% of his class and was accepted into Alpha Omega Alpha medical honorary society. Prior to graduating, he spent six weeks in Ecuador performing rural surgery with a local surgeon near Cuenca and in the Amazon.

Dr. Sandeen performed his general surgical internship and residency at the University of Rochester in New York. He then completed his plastic surgery residency at the same institution. He currently performs cosmetic, reconstructive, transgender and hand surgery. He has special interest in facelift and facial rejuvenation surgery, but also remains dedicated to facial reconstruction following excision of skin cancer.

Dr. Sandeen is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

In his free time, Dr. Sandeen enjoys spending time with his family. He has traveled extensively, including Europe, Africa, Asia, and Central and South America. He also enjoys playing the guitar and is an artist and photographer. You can see his photographic work on exhibit in our office.
